The Medicare Open Enrollment Period: October 15-December 7 every year

The Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period: January 1-March 31 every year*

*Only if you’re already in a Medicare Advantage plan. You can change to a different Medicare Advantage plan or switch to Original Medicare (and join a separate Medicare drug plan) once during this time.

Navigating your options when deciding on a Medicare plan

  • Do all your doctors accept Medicare? Are they “in-network” if you select a Medicare Advantage plan? 
  • Do you travel frequently and visit doctors outside of your local area
  • Will your medications be covered, including medications administered by your doctor that are covered under Part B? 
  • Can you afford the out-of-pocket costs for office visits and medications?
